Dr. Aiken grew up in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, near the Pocono Mountains. She graduated in 1997 from the University of Scranton, Magna Cum Laude, with a BS Degree in Biology.

She attended medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and entered the Navy on a Health Scholarship Program.

Dr. Aiken graduated from medical school and began her internship at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Internal Medicine. She was then stationed from 2002-2004 as the General medical officer for Naval Health Clinics, Camp Lejeune, serving as the primary care physician for Marines attached to the base. She returned to Portsmouth Naval Hospital to complete her training in Internal Medicine.

Dr Aiken moved to the Fredericksburg area while practicing as the sole internist for Quantico. She served as the Chair of Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, as Medical Director of Immunizations, and on the Medical Executive Committee. She was honorably discharged at the rank of Lieutenant Commander in 2008.

Dr. Aiken became a specialist at Mary Washington Hospital's Senior Care Clinic and joined Colonial Internal Medicine Associates in 2010 as a physician in CIMA's North Stafford office.

Dr. Aiken is married to Matthew Aiken, D.O. and they have three children. She is active in her community and is a volunteer at Holy Cross Academy. Most of her free time is spent with her family, but she does enjoy reading and jogging. She just recently completed the half marathon.
