Dr. Cindy Marrow faces new and sometimes complex and challenging health issues every day as a primary care physician. She enjoys caring for entire families with a special interest in adolescent and women’s health as well as geriatrics. She values the relationships she develops with her patients - one of the reasons she looks forward to work everyday. Her ability to connect with patients enhances her ability to deliver superior health care.

As a young college student, Dr. Marrow helped care for her grandmother at the end of her life which inspired her to pursue a career in medicine. That experience, in addition to her impressive training, education and professional experience have helped her realize how important it is to be a good listener and empathetic to patients’ problems and concerns. She takes extra time to explain any complex medical issues in a caring manner so her patients can understand. She wants her patients to know that she’s there for them as their chief health advisor when they have questions, concerns or are in need of coordination of health care needs.

Dr. Marrow is a leader in the Fredericksburg region, currently serving as a physician member of the Board of Trustees at Mary Washington Healthcare and as a former Medical Staff President at Mary Washington Hospital. She also volunteers at a local free medical clinic.

A native of Iowa and a Hawkeyes fan, Dr. Marrow is an avid book club member who reads extensively. She’s an active member of her church and participates in a Bible study group. She loves to travel and always looks forward to spending time with her husband and son, especially at the beach, swimming and relaxing.
